Akash Bajaj, M.D., M.P.H.

Dr Bajaj is the founder and medical director of Remedy Pain Solutions, with locations in Marina Del Rey and Santa Monica, CA.  Dr. Akash Bajaj is one of few physicians incorporating bone marrow aspirate concentrate for stem cell therapy. Its strong restorative properties effectively treat joint, soft tissue, ligament, tendon and other anatomical issues, and may delay or prevent the need for surgery. Dr. Bajaj uses cutting-edge interventional techniques and treatment options to include: minimally invasive spine procedures, epidurals, fluoroscopically guided nerve blocks, joint injections and spinal cord stimulation.  Dr. Bajaj is widely recognized for Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapies, which treat muscle, tendon and ligament injuries. Timothy T. Davis, M.D.

Dr. Davis is considered an expert in minimally invasive approaches to treat neck, back, and nerve pain. He has been involved in multiple research research projects using biological therapies to treat degenerative disc disease and has published and presented nationally and internationally. Dr. Davis has been involved in some of the orginical clnincal work studying the effects of Stem Cells on the lumbar disc.  He is currently on a scientific advistory board on Stem Cells and is one of the few people in the country woring on autologouse Stem Cell harvest from the hip to treat spinal disorders and joint arthritis.  Dr. Davis has developed and patented intellectual property in electrodiagnostics, biologics, and spinal implants.  Dr. Davis is originally from Lake of the Ozarks Missouri, and attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine 6 year Program, graduating with a combined BA/MD at 24 years of age.  He then completed a surgical internship at Ochnser Clinic in New Orleans Louisiana, and the Physiatry Residency at the University of California Los Angeles.  Dr. Davis is Board Certified by the American Board of Physcial Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Board of Pain Medicine, and the American Board of Neurophysiological Monitoring.  He is licensed in California, Louisiana, and Texas.  Dr. Davis is on the medical staff at St. Johns Health Center in Santa Monica, Cedar Sinai Los Angeles, Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, and St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton.  Dr. Davis is a member of the North American Spine Society, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Academy of Pain Medicine, North American Neuromodulation Society, and International Spine Intervention Society.

Alexander P. Hersel, M.D.

Dr. Alexander Hersel, founder of Broadway Surgical Institute, is a Southern California leader in interventional procedures for chronic pain management. After completing residency at Cornell Medical Center in New York, and fellowship training at UCLA, Dr. Hersel went on to found his practice, Pain Management & Injury Relief, in 2003. Dr. Hersel believes in a lifelong and sustainable approach to pain management, and his expertise in non- and minimally-invasive procedures for chronic pain helps improve patient quality of life. He is nationally recognized as one of the few highly trained physicians performing Spinal Cord Stimulator Implants for failed back surgery syndrome, and is one of the most experienced doctors in Southern California to use the technology. Douglas M. Freedman, M.D.

Douglas M. Freedman, M.D., a board-certified (Orthopaedic) Hand Surgeon, entered private practice in 2003 after leaving a busy practice at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California.  Dr. Freedman graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and then attended Yale University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at UCLA. He then completed a hand and upper extremity fellowship at Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. His fellowship included training at Columbia University in New York City as well as the Institut Kaplan in Barcelona, Spain.  Dr. Freedman is the author of several peer-reviewed articles in hand surgery. His interests include reconstructive hand and wrist procedures. His extensive training and experience covers a wide array of problems of the hand and wrist which include trauma, neurologic conditions, arthritis, tendinitis, and tumors.  West LA Hand Center and Dr. Freedman are associated with St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California, which has been named one of the top 100 orthopedic hospitals in the United States by HCIA-Sachs and the Human Motion Institute.
